I first met Dr. Cila as an Americorps Vista in 2016 with the My Brother's Keeper Initiative. She was one of the Americorps Vista leaders that provided clarity and direction to help us reach at-risk youth. Dr. Cila's support throughout my time as an Americorps member inspired me to follow in her footsteps and accept the position as an Americorps Vista Leader too.
